Born in Nebraska from a breeder, Cosmo was surrendered and abandoned by its owner to the Heart’s United for Animal’s shelter. No one knows why the gentle St. Bernard was surrendered, but they took him in anyway. What they only knew is that the giant pup was very friendly and easily got along with everyone.
Coming straight from a breeder, Cosmo hasn’t experienced how it was to have a family. He was contented and happy living in the shelter, but the staff wanted the adorable pooch to have a more permanent set up. The sweet dog was a perfect fit for any family; he has so much love to give. So they took a photo of him and posted his profile on their website. Hopefully, someone will see it and adopt Cosmo.
Off to New York
Jayne and Geoff live in upstate New York along with their two kids and two dogs. While browsing the net, Jayne happened to come across Cosmo’s profile and showed it to her husband. The two became enamored with the dog and decided to adopt him. As soon as she could, Jayne and her sister hopped on a plane for Nebraska and rented a car. They drove to the shelter and met Cosmo.
Gentle and loving, Cosmo quickly captured Jayne’s heart. She realized then that Cosmo would be a great addition to their family. After the adoption, they loaded the gentle giant on their rented car and drove all the way back to New York.
Jayne’s dogs, Poppy and Grendel, were the first ones to welcome Cosmo to his new life. The three dogs quickly got along; it was as if they knew each other for some time now. Then Cosmo finally entered the first home that he could ever call his own. Cosmo was a bit confused about particular things, like stairs, for instance. But he quickly adapted.
Cosmo’s new favorite was the couch. He would lay there and relax many times of the day. He also loves playing with Jayne’s kids and the other dogs. And as each day passes, his relationship with his new family becomes even more special.
