The St. Bernard breed is one of the biggest dog breeds in the world. This pooch named Stroodle is a St. Bernard, who has an incredible story of survival. Although the pooch could be considered a bear, Stroodle’s heart is as big as her stature.
Although the pooch already faced several setbacks in the past, Stroodle’s experiences do not change the way she is as a pooch. The pooch lived with an older gentleman for most of her years. While Stroodle’s neighbors mentioned that the dog’s owner is reserved, the older man loves Stroodle so much.
In an unfortunate twist of fate, though, Stroodle’s previous owner passed away peacefully due to old age. The dog’s neighbor thought that someone would pick the dog up after the man’s funeral. This, however, is proven wrong as no one took the pooch under their care.
When Stroodle’s neighbors learned about this sad development, they collectively cared for the pooch. The neighbors made sure that the pooch gets enough food supply as well as water to drink. From time to time, the dog’s neighbors likewise join the pooch for a walk.
One day, however, a new family occupied the house where Stroodle lives. Since the new family also had a dog, Stroodle got surrendered to a local animal center. This development saddened the dog’s neighbors, but they could not do anything about it.
The pooch arrived at the Placer SPCA, where she sought temporary refuge. Soon enough, however, a family near the animal shelter came to adopt the pooch for good. According to the Cotton family, they heard about Stroodle and got an interest in taking the pooch for good.
They thought everything would be fine, but Stroodle got diagnosed with cancer. Despite this, the Cotton family vowed to be on the dog’s side all the days of her life.
