This is Kira, an adorable Husky who is going to learn to swim today. Being its first time in the water, her dog parents know that the activity will be critical to their adorable dog. To ensure that the Husky will love it, they made the activity super fun and exciting for the furball. They used an inflatable pool and keep the water as low as possible. That is just so nice and sweet!
Kira learns to swim
As seen in the video below, Kira is calm when she was placed in the water. The Husky immediately learned how to swim and loved the activity so much. Her parents are so proud and happy to discover that their dog loves the activity, thereby thinking of more water activities they can teach their dog.
Dogs are swimmers
Dogs are known to have survival instincts unconsciously instilled in them because they are wild in their core. Their ancestors are basically predators and have lived in deep forests before they had been domesticated to fit in the living conditions of people. Thus, swimming is something that they are born to do either for physical exercise or rescue purposes. Huskies, in general, are among the hunting and herding breeds that people used in rigorous physical services.
This video of Kira’s first water activity is also very timely. Teaching dogs to swim at this time is perfect because it is summer season in most areas around the globe, so it is a way to keep them fresh. More importantly, we are all experiencing a pandemic that requires us to be indoors at all times, and swimming is an activity that can be done inside our homes. Dog parents don’t have to break the quarantine laws for the physical and even mental activities of their dogs.
