When people get asked about how they would describe a pit bull, most people would usually say that they’re mean-looking dogs or that they don’t have the right attitude to be a family pet. In recent years, there had been a lot of reports about aggressive pit bulls and pit bulls being used to fight in underground dogfighting rings. This led to the pit bull’s negative reputation, which is why rescue pit bulls don’t get adopted.
However, we have to remember that before pit bulls were seen in a bad light, they were once dubbed as America’s nanny dog. Pit bulls are very patient dogs who are very protective of their family. Also, pit bulls can also be adorable.
A pit bull named Posey is a dwarf rescue pittie who ended up in an animal clinic after getting rescued. Christina Grant worked in the animal clinic where Posey was taken. The day when Posey came to the clinic, Christina wasn’t on duty. Christina got a call from a coworker telling her about Posey and that Christina needed to see Posey.
Christina dismissed it and thought what the big deal was about a pit bull puppy. When Christina came to work, she met Posey, and she immediately knew why her coworker called. Christina instantly fell in love with Posey.
Posey has a unique condition that made her legs short and stumpy. It turned out that Posey had congenital dwarfism, which made it hard for her to get around. Posey’s unique condition eventually made her look even more adorable. In Christina’s mind, she knew that she could give Posey the care she needed.
Eventually, Christina decided to adopt Posey. She even bought a cart for Posey to ride in during long walks. Despite Posey’s problems with mobility, she’s still like any other dog. Posey loves cuddles and pets from her mom, and she also loves playing with the other dogs. Posey’s favorite thing in the world is to meet new people, especially kids. Whenever Christina takes Posey to a school to meet children, Posey gets pampered and spoiled.
Christina and Posey teach children that even though some dogs may look different like Posey, they can be just as fun-loving as any other dogs. Thanks to Christina and the people responsible for Posey’s rescue, Posey’s now living the best life with her new mom. Here’s a heartwarming video showing Posey’s story.
