Sometimes some dogs stay at a shelter for far too long. One example of such a dog is Krunch from the Villalobos Rescue Center. He has been in the shelter for seven years, and people were starting to think he will never get adopted.
One day two people came in to see Krunch. They were looking for a dog to adopt. Krunch’s foster owner, Earl, sat down with the potential adopters. He introduced Krunch to them to see if they like him.
Krunch was the first dog that Earl rescued after getting paroled. He was the dog who started Earl’s journey to a new life. If there is anyone who knows Krunch well, it is Earl.
Krunch loved the attention he was getting. He has no problem letting people touch him. It’s a mystery why he remained at the shelter for so long if he had the perfect demeanor.
Earl was sad to let go of Krunch, but he knew the day would come. As one last bonding opportunity with the dog, Earl bought him a burger. Krunch loves burgers.
Earl believes the new owners are capable of giving Krunch even better food.
Tia, the owner of the shelter, along with every other employee, believes that Krunch is the perfect dog. They all wondered why the dog was able to last years without being adopted. Krunch’s adoption story gave everyone hope.
Krunch took a while to familiarize himself with a new environment. He was overwhelmed with a lot of new things and new smells. The adopters were happy to see Krunch enjoying the backyard.
Earl was emotional because he was the most attached to Krunch. The people who knew the dog were happy that he was finally in a place he could call home. The employee who brought Krunch to his new home thinks that he fits well with his new owners.
